The Pied Pypers are a walk-about trio of street musicians who bring an entertaining combination of medieval(ish) music and crowd pleasing interaction to your event.

Using bagpipes, percussion and other instruments the band play a selection of music from earlier times but keep your ears open for the occasional melodic imposter.

Our professionally made costumes are bright and vibrant, guaranteed to stand out in any situation.

We love nothing more than to be playing in amongst the audience, engaging with folk in a lighthearted and mischievous manner.

All our members are accomplished musicians and street entertainers who have many years experience playing folk, traditional, samba and other street music at galas, carnivals, festivals, parties and concerts all over Scotland, Ireland and beyond. 

The Pied Pypers developed from our sister group, The Absurdist Pipe Band. Their zany brand of musical tomfoolery in dayglo wigs and clown shoes has been gracing the streets and fields of galas and festivals for over fifteen years now.
